How to GiveThere are many ways to support the charity. We constantly need to raise funds to cover all our costs and to develop our services so that we can help more people in need. These are some of the ways to help.Legacy/bequest By remembering TLC in your will, you are making a much appreciated gift to the charity. You may also be able to protect the gifts you wish to give your friends and family, depending on the value of your estate. Outright gifts and bequests to UK charities are completely free of Inheritance Tax and can help to reduce the taxable threshold of your estate. If you are contemplating a major change in your current will, or if you are about to have a will drafted, a gift to TLC can be easily included. If you already have a will, but are contemplating a bequest to TLC, the addition of a codicil should be discussed with your lawyer. For information on lawyers in your area, you may wish to look at the Law Society website. If you have decided to leave a bequest to TLC, it would be helpful to know that you have done so by writing to us with the details. We very much value the opportunity to thank you. Any pledge you make is not legally binding but it will help us plan for the future. Please be assured that the information you supply will be treated in strict confidence. Regular donations It is very helpful for a charity to know that it will have regular financial support. Standing Orders are one way of ensuring this. If you are in a position to make a regular donation then you can do so by completing a standing instruction to your bank (monthly, quarterly or annually). In certain circumstances it is possible to obtain tax relief on such donations. Please contact us to set up a standing order. Give as You Earn Some larger employers subscribe to this scheme that enables employees to instruct that a monthly deduction from their pre-tax salary is paid to the charity of their choice, potentially reducing their tax liability. Some employers offer to match the donation their employees make so that the charity receives double the amount. The charity may receive tax relief on the donation. One-Off Donations One-off donations can be made in the form of cash or cheques made payable to Hospice Services at Home TLC Ltd and sent to: Hospice Services at Home TLC Ltd, , Forest Centre, Pinehill Road, Bordon, Hampshire Donations from UK tax payers attract a benefit as the tax relief on the donation can be reclaimed by the charity. If you would like to make a one off, on going or regular donation by direct internet transfer from your bank account please contact us. Other kinds of support We would also appreciate any assistance with fundraising by organising events in aid of TLC. Telling people about TLC when discussing charity donations.
