Who Cares for unpaid Carers?

TLC Therapists help de-stress family carers

Carers looking after their family members, save the Government millions of hours of time and money; 6.4million unpaid carers save the government £119bn a year.  We are just waking up to the fact that many unpaid Carers suffer from depression, a sense of isolation and feel forgotton.  Quite often they feel guilty at having to ask for some assistance and suffer from extreme stress.

TLC offers those family members who are unpaid Carers some gentle Aromatherapy Massage, Refloxology, Indian Head Massage or Reiki.  TLC also holds pamper afternoons for carer groups.   All the complementary therapies are free and TLC raises funds to pay for them.

During Carer's Week in June, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers organised a Carers' Pamper Day at the Malmesbury Lawn Day Centre in Havant. TLC Therapists Debra and Becki attended the event providing therapies such as Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy Massage.
